From September 5th to the 7th a world of delicious tastings, inspiring cooking, Nordic ingredients and food experiences will be the essence of the Aarhus Food Festival 2014, hosted by the Food Organization of Denmark. Producers from all over Denmark will share their knowledge and a taste of their artisanal crafts concerning their area of expertise.
During these three days, Nordic food and artisans will frame the festival, enlighten and teach the visitors about the fantastic ingredients the Nordic has to offer. The Food Festival is perfect for food fanatics and all other people, who simply wish to have a good time while they taste, see, and touch Nordic foods at Tangkrogen in Aarhus. From dairy and sweet baked goods, to unusual edible plants and herbs to the Gastro Stage for exiting cooking, Aarhus will have the best of the best to stimulate the most curious foodie minds.
Meet the farmers growing the tastiest carrots and raising quality cattle while you nibble on unique cheeses and learn about fresh fish straight from the docks. Top chefs, including the silver medal winner at EM Bocuse D’Or Kenneth Hansen will visit the Gastro Stage, where they will teach and demonstrate their techniques and specialties. The popular Hotdog Danish Championship will be held, where the 2013 winner, Paul Cunningham, will defend his prestigious title. Join the Aarhus Food Festival international Food Summit to learn about global challenges regarding food. Be ready to debate the challenges food producers face, in relation to environmental issues.
