Salted Dark Chocolate Fudge

I’m having a major craving for fudge. Are you?! If you aren’t already, you will by the end of this post. This recipe is simple, but decadent. All it takes it dark chocolate melted with creamy sweetened condensed milk, sprinkled with coarse sea salt. The only really hard thing this recipe requires is patience. The fudge should setup in the fridge overnight or for a handful of hours, so you will have to wait a bit!

Description

Creamy and rich, this salted dark chocolate fudge combines melted dark chocolate with sweetened condensed milk and a sprinkle of sea salt for a decadent treat.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs dark chocolate chips
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp dark cocoa powder
  • Coarse sea salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with foil and heavily grease it with cooking spray.
  2. In a large microwavable bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Microwave the mixture in 30-second increments, stirring after each, until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Stir in the dark cocoa powder until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle coarse sea salt over the top of the fudge to taste.
  7. Refrigerate the fudge for several hours or overnight until it is firm and set.
  8. Once set, remove the fudge from the dish using the foil, cut into squares, and serve.

Notes

For best results, let the fudge set in the refrigerator overnight. You can substitute milk chocolate chips for a sweeter fudge. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Sprinkle additional sea salt on top before serving for extra flavor.
