Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 stick (or 4 ounces or 8 tablespoons) unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup (or 5 1/2 ounces or 150 grams) brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup caramel pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (or 176°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a 9-inch cast iron skillet over low heat.
  3. Once the butter is melted, stir in the brown sugar and vanilla until the mixture is smooth and even.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  5. Stir in the egg until fully incorporated.
  6. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the white chocolate chunks and caramel pieces evenly throughout the dough.
  8. Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still soft.
  9. Allow the cookie to cool slightly before serving warm, directly from the skillet.

Notes

You can experiment with different candy mixes like dark chocolate or M&M’s. Adjust the brown sugar based on the sweetness of your candy mix. Serve with cranberry sauce for a sweet and sour balance. Baking time may vary depending on your oven.
