Description
These honey and thyme wine-poached pears are incredibly tender and infused with delicate aromas of sweet wine, honey, and thyme.

- 750ml (25 fluid ounces) sweet white wine
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 sprigs of thyme
- 4 pears, peeled and kept whole
Instructions
- Pour the wine into a small saucepan and add the honey and thyme.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- Carefully peel the pears, ensuring they remain whole.
- Add the peeled pears to the saucepan.
- Reduce the heat to a gentle simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the pears are tender and can be easily pierced with a fork.
- Remove the pears from the saucepan and let them cool slightly.
- Serve the pears warm or at room temperature, drizzled with a few spoonfuls of the cooking liquid.
Notes
Choose a stronger or milder honey and wine based on your flavor preference. This dessert can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature. It makes a lovely light festive pudding.
