A simple yet creamy and delicious Homemade Peppermint Mocha perfect for the Winter Season!
Ingredients

- 4 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cup milk* (any kind is good)
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 dash salt
- 1 cup strong coffee
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract**
Instructions
- Heat a medium sauce pan to medium/medium high heat.
- Add in cocoa powder, sugar, milk, heavy cream, and salt. Stir together.
- Allow the mixture to heat but NOT boil. This should take about 5-7 minutes. It should not bubble but a slight simmer is okay. Cocoa powder, sugar and salt should be dissolved in this time.
- Pour in coffee and remove from heat.
- Stir in peppermint extract.
- Pour into your favorite coffee mugs and enjoy as is or top with whipped cream!
Notes
*Any kind of milk can be used for this but whole milk definitely has the best flavor and creaminess.
**Depending on how much you like peppermint, you may want to start off adding a 1/4 tsp of peppermint extract and tasting to see if that suits your taste buds. If you desire more peppermint flavor, then simply add the amount noted.
