Description
A simple chocolate chip cookie recipe to enjoy your cup of coffee!
Ingredients

- 200 grams all purpose flour
- 85 grams caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 80 grams unsalted soft butter
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 100 grams dark chocolate- cut in small chunks or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180 degree celsius.
- In a bowl sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
- In another mixing bowl cream the butter with the sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg to this mixture.
- Fold in the flour followed by chocolate pieces using a spatula- the dough will be stiff.
- With the help of your hands roll walnut-sized pieces of dough and place them on buttered baking trays.
- Leave space in between the cookies to allow room for spreading.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the edges are firm but the center is soft.
- Remove and allow it to cool.
- Enjoy with a steaming hot cup of coffee!
