Description

This spicy blue brie stuffed burger is a mouth-watering treat with gooey cheese in every bite, perfect for grilling season.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
  • 3 serrano peppers
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 8 ounces Castello Saga Blue Brie cheese
  • Toppings of your choice
  • Buns (we used pretzel buns)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the serrano peppers on the grill grate and cook until the skin is completely blackened, turning occasionally.
  3. Remove the peppers from the grill and run them under cool water to remove the charred skin. Remove the stems and seeds from the peppers, then chop them finely.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, chopped serrano peppers, garlic powder, and parsley flakes. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  5. Divide the meat mixture into equal portions and form into thin patties.
  6. Cut the Castello Saga Blue Brie cheese into small cubes. Place a few cubes of cheese in the center of half of the patties.
  7. Top each cheese-filled patty with another patty, pressing the edges together to seal and form a stuffed burger.
  8. Place the stuffed burgers on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F and the cheese is melted and gooey.
  9. Remove the burgers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  10. Serve the burgers on buns with your choice of toppings.

Notes

For a milder heat, use fewer serrano peppers or substitute with milder peppers. Serve with sides like potato salad or grilled corn. Pretzel buns add a unique flavor and texture, but any bun will work. Leftover cheese can be spread on warm pretzel buns for a delicious snack.
