Description

These Rosemary Parsnip Fries are a flavorful and healthy alternative to traditional fries, oven-baked to crispy perfection with a hint of rosemary.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb parsnips, peeled and cut into "fries"
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (232 degrees Celsius). Line a baking pan with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Place the peeled and cut parsnips on the prepared baking pan. Drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Toss the parsnips to coat them evenly in the oil. Spread them out on the pan so they have room to crisp up.
  4. Sprinkle the parsnips with onion powder, garlic powder, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the parsnips are golden brown and crispy on the edges. Flip them halfway through the baking time for even cooking.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve immediately as a delicious side dish or snack.

Notes

For best results, ensure the parsnips are spread out on the baking sheet to allow them to crisp up. You can substitute fresh rosemary for dried if desired. These fries are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven but can be reheated in a hot oven to regain some crispiness.
