  • 3 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 8 oz. blocks cream cheese
  • 1 3 oz. package bacon bits
  • ¾ cup apple cider
  • 8 Pretzel buns
  • Canned fried onions for topping


  • Season chicken with salt and pepper then add it to a slow cooker along with the cider and cream cheese.
  • Cook on low 6 hours.
  • Remove the chicken, shred, then place back into the slow cooker and mix together with the cream cheese and cider.
  • Stir in bacon bits.
  • Serve on a bun with crunchy fried onion on top.
