You won’t miss the beef with these turkey burgers that are tender, flavorful and juicy…and easy to throw together. They are a staple dinner in my household, especially during the summer months.
My family liked the idea of having a turkey burger with turkey bacon, but after trying that once we decided that if we are going to have bacon we’d rather have the real thing. So we typically serve our turkey burgers with bacon, avocado slices, red bell pepper slices, lettuce and ketchup but you can use the condiments of your choice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does this recipe use both feta and Jack cheese?
The two cheeses play different roles: 3 tbsp of crumbled feta adds a salty, tangy punch mixed into the patty itself, while ½ cup of shredded Jack cheese melts smoothly into the meat during cooking, keeping it juicy and binding the patty together.
Can I use a serrano pepper instead of red bell pepper?
Yes—the recipe lists ½ a red bell pepper or 1 serrano pepper as direct alternatives. Bell pepper gives sweetness and crunch; serrano adds noticeable heat alongside the 1–2 tsp of cayenne already in the mix.
How do I make sure the turkey burgers cook all the way through on the stovetop?
Cover the pan while the burgers cook. The recipe specifies medium heat for 7–10 minutes per side with a lid on, which traps steam and ensures the center reaches a safe temperature without burning the exterior.

I made a dish with ground turkey meat yesterday, we really like it and use it often instead of pork/beef. This is a fantastic burger!
That is one great looking turkey burger :)
