- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2-4 lemon slices

Instructions
- Wash the Shishito peppers thoroughly and let them dry in a colander.
- Drizzle the peppers with a small amount of olive oil, ensuring they are lightly coated.
- Heat a sauté pan over medium to high heat without adding any oil.
- Add the peppers to the hot pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are blistered and slightly charred.
- Remove the peppers from the pan and season with salt to taste.
- Serve immediately with lemon slices on the side for squeezing over the peppers.
Notes
Shishito peppers are mostly mild, but occasionally you may find a spicy one. They are perfect as an appetizer or as part of a taco bar. These peppers are best served immediately after grilling. If you can’t find Shishito peppers, Padron peppers can be used as a substitute.
