Description

Fire up your grill and get ready for lip-smacking Fish Tikka Bites served on pita with a vibrant green chutney. A perfect way to treat the family to a carnival of flavors.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Pita Bread-4
  • Green Chutney-3 tbsp
  • Red Onion sliced-1 large
  • Any mixed salad
  • Lemon juice
  • Chat masala

Fish Tikka Marinade

  • Arctic Char (cubed- 1 lb)
  • Turmeric- 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chili powder-1 tsp
  • Paprika-1 tbsp
  • Ground Coriander-2 tbsp
  • Garam Masala- 1 tbsp
  • Crushed Ginger-1 tbsp
  • Crushed Garlic-1 tbsp
  • Greek Yoghurt-3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
For the Mint Chutney
  • Fresh Mint-1 cup
  • Fresh Coriander-1 cup
  • Garlic clove-1
  • Green Chili or Jalapeño-1 seeded and chopped
  • Salt-to taste
  • Lemon Juice-1 tbsp
  • Olive Oil-2 tbsp
  • water-1/4 cup or more if required

Instructions

For the fish

  1. Mix the fish tikka marinade in bowl and add the fish cubes. Coat evenly and let it sit in the fridge for 5 hrs or overnight.
  2. Heat the grill and place the tikkas on a greased foil. Cook for about 8-10 minutes flipping them gently midway until you see slightly golden edges.
  3. Once done sprinkle some lemon juice and chat masala. Keep aside.
  4. Toast the pita and cut them in any desired shape.
  5. Spread a layer of green chutney.
  6. Top with some fish tikka, onions and salad.

For the Mint Chutney

  1. Chop up the coriander and mint. In a wet spice grinder or any food processor, combine all the chutney ingredients and blend. Add a little more water if required.
