Flatbread Crackers for a Perfect Cheese Board

Loaded with chocolate, cheese, and wine, create a beautiful cheese board with homemade flatbread crackers.
  • 1½ cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 4 Tbsp butter, cold and cut into small pieces
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. in a food processor, pulse together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar
  3. pulse in the butter until you have a coarse meal
  4. slowly stream in the buttermilk, and pulse until you have a ball of dough
  5. on a lightly floured surface, roll dough to bout ⅛ inch thickness
  6. cut into rectangles or hearts
  7. place crackers on a parchment or silpat lined baking sheet
  8. bake until crisp - about 20 minutes
  9. cool crackers on racks, once completely cool crackers can be kept in an airtight container for up to 1 week
