Looking for a little restaurant decadence this fall? Look no further than the 2020 White Truffle Festival, happening across the US Nov 13-22.
Prunotto, one of the oldest wineries in Piedmont, Italy, and Urbani Truffles, a purveyor of fresh truffles and truffle products, partnering with Parmigiano Reggiano just announced the 2020 White Truffle Festival. From November 13 to 22, restaurants in New York, Florida, California, Colorado, Illinois, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, New Jersey, Nevada, and Washington state will participate in the White Truffle Festival allowing food and wine enthusiasts to indulge in, truffle-based dishes from some of the country’s most esteemed Italian restaurants.
With restaurants facing such unique challenges this year, the partners feel it is now more important than ever to support the restaurant community with this program. Now in its fifth year, the festival aims to bring the world-famous Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco di Alba to the U.S. — combining three high-end culinary products from Italy: Alba white truffles and red wines from Piedmont and Parmigiano Reggiano from the Emilia Romagna region.
During the week, restaurants will create a special festival menu for dining in and to-go. The menu will feature Urbani fresh white truffles from Alba paired with the prestigious Prunotto wines, including Barolo and Barbaresco wines, whose vines grow in the same areas where the white truffles are found.
The dishes will also feature Parmigiano Reggiano, enhancing the experience with its rich, nutty flavor and aroma. In addition to supporting restaurants, the White Truffle Festival is also expanding into retail this year, offering the public an opportunity to create their own White Truffle experience at home through exclusive recipes developed by a select number of Chefs using ingredients available in-store.
