Description
These breakfast biscuit sandwiches offer a homemade alternative to fast food, with options for both carnivores and vegetarians, ensuring everyone can enjoy a delicious and satisfying start to the day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can of buttermilk biscuits
- A few slices of hardwood smoked bacon
- A few slices of fake/soy bacon
- 2 organic free-range vegetarian fed eggs
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and bake the buttermilk biscuits according to the package directions. Alternatively, you can make your own biscuits from scratch if you prefer.
- While the biscuits are baking, cook the hardwood smoked bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, cook the fake/soy bacon according to the package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes per side until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a separate pan, fry the eggs to your liking. For a classic breakfast sandwich, cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 3-4 minutes.
- Once the biscuits are done, split them open and place a slice of cheddar cheese on the bottom half of each biscuit.
- Layer the bacon (or fake bacon) and a fried egg on top of the cheese.
- Top with the other half of the biscuit and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- You can customize these sandwiches by using different types of cheese or adding fresh vegetables like spinach or tomatoes.
- These sandwiches are perfect for a quick breakfast on the go or a leisurely morning at home.
- If you prefer, make your own biscuits from scratch for an even more homemade touch.
