Frozen Summer Berry Lemonade

This blended lemonade is the perfect cooler for a backyard barbecue and can be spiked, if desired, for a fun, fruity cup.

Frozen Summer Berry Lemonade

Lemonade is one of my favorite summer drinks. Perfectly tart, not too sweet and super refreshing. I took it up a notch and made it frozen and fruity with mixed berries. This lemonade is perfectly tart and not to sweet. Just how I like my lemonade.

It is made with fresh squeezed lemon juice, simple syrup, water, ice and frozen mixed berries. The perfect summertime drink. Add some vodka or tequila to make it a boozy adult cocktail.

I love adding fruit to my drinks. The sweet fruit and the tart lemon juice make the perfect combination. You can substitute fresh berries if you have them on hand, however frozen berries make the drink extra slushy.

I used simple syrup to sweeten the lemonade. Simple syrup is just equal parts sugar and water. You can make the simple syrup in advance or make a big batch and store in the refrigerator for up to a month.

This Frozen Summer Berry Lemonade is ridiculously simple to make. Throw some frozen berries, simple syrup, ice, water and lemon juice into a blender and blend away. I like to freeze the lemonade after blending for it to get extra slushy. I freeze it for an hour and take it out and serve.
