Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this recipe use applesauce alongside the mashed bananas?

The 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce works alongside the 2 mashed bananas to add moisture and act as a partial fat replacement. Together they give the bundt cake a tender, dense crumb without requiring additional oil or extra butter beyond what the cake mix provides.

How do I know when the bundt cake is done?

Bake at 350°F for 40–50 minutes, then test by inserting a toothpick near the center — it should come out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to prevent it from breaking.
