Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Pizza not only tastes delicious, but looks incredible! Crisp and robust flavors pop all over, creating a unique dish.

Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Pizza

Okay, this is such a blogger thing, but… do you ever make something just because you know it’s gonna come out really pretty? That’s like literally the story of my life. My entire blog is a collection of pretty food, and here’s another pretty thing to add to the archives. Heirloom tomato and burrata pizza! Oh man, you guys. This is like margherita pizza on the next level. Yes, you have your crust and your tomato sauce… but then you add some ridiculously creamy burrata cheese, and some colorful sliced heirloom tomatoes, and you have a total showstopper. This is the perfect summery pizza! (It’s warm enough so it still counts).

  • Author: Valentina Celant
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ball storebought pizza dough
  • 68 oz fresh burrata cheese {more or less to taste} (diced)
  • 23 heirloom tomatoes (sliced)
  • ¼ cup tomato sauce
  • salt and fresh basil for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 550F {if you have a convection option, definitely use it!}.
  2. Lightly oil a round pizza pan, and place your pizza dough inside, lightly pressing the pizza dough towards the edges to cover the whole surface.
  3. Spread the tomato sauce on the crust, then cook for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
  4. Remove crust from the oven, top with the cheese, sliced tomatoes, basil leaves, and a generous sprinkling of salt. Return to oven for 15-20 minutes, until the bottom of the crust is solid and not soggy, and the top is lightly golden brown.
  5. Let cool slightly, then cut and enjoy!

Notes

I used store-bought pizza dough, but if you have your own recipe for pizza dough, feel free to use it!
