Old Town Scottsdale’s Camelback Road corridor has seen plenty of openings come and go, but when Riot Hospitality Group took over the former Mint Lounge space in early 2025, they had ambitions beyond opening another bar with food. Meet Shiv Supper Club, Arizona’s first “upscale supper club”, and the group’s most ambitious concept to date.
At nearly 14,000 square feet, the team gutted and rebuilt the space. Cascading greenery softens the high ceilings, custom lighting shifts as the night progresses, and live performers take the stage every night, working through house music, pop, and reimagined covers via a sound system that fills every corner of the room.
Drinks
For drinks, expect martinis like the savory Well Dressed (gin, vermouth, and lemon olive oil, served with popcorn) or the Salt & Vinegar, made with chip-infused vodka and pickle brine, paired with chips on the side. Beyond the martinis, cocktails lean into more playful combinations, like the Secret Stash with mezcal, rum, falernum, lime, and honey.
Food

Start the night with the honey butter bread service, warm rolls, good butter, honey-kissed and impossible to stop at one. A night at Shiv rarely goes wrong, and it certainly doesn’t when it opens with something this simple done this well. It also doesn’t go wrong with the Honey Baked Bruschetta: pillowy bread layered with truffle brie and apricot-habanero honey, resting on a bed of lemony arugula that cuts through the richness just enough. Sweet, savory, and a touch of heat.
Then comes the nuggets and caviar, and the table shifts. Perfectly crisp chicken arrives finished with shaved parmesan, charred romaine aioli, and a generous hit of roe. Within minutes, someone at the table will want to order another round. Moving into the entrées, the Chilean sea bass keeps things bright, lemon vinaigrette, arugula, nothing overdone. The salmon with caviar and the short rib ragù round out the options for anyone leaning toward something with more depth.
No supper club earns the name without a serious steak program, and Shiv doesn’t disappoint. The charcoal-fired steaks anchor the back half of the menu, with a ribeye and New York strip holding their own alongside the undisputed centerpiece: the Colossal Tomahawk. The 40-ounce cut arrives table side, finished with garlic beef tallow butter and presented with enough ceremony to turn heads across the room. Pair it with the truffle baked mac. Cavatappi, white and black truffle, parmesan, and cracked pepper come together in something rich and unapologetically decadent, the side dish everyone at the table ends up talking about on the way home.
As for dessert, options include sticky toffee cake, served warm with mascarpone mousse and vanilla ice cream—a dense, caramel-forward finish. There’s also the bananas Foster baked Alaska, flambéed table side, and a more playful caviar-style dessert service that leans into texture and presentation. For those staying later, after 10 p.m. the space shifts into The Dessert Room, which feels like a natural extension of the night—less a final course and more a second act. Expect over-the-top desserts, champagne, and a late-night energy that keeps things going.

Warm rolls, good butter, honey on top, and my husband waved the server down for a second basket before entrées had fired. Nuggets and caviar felt like a New York move you can’t usually get in Scottsdale.
