Frequently Asked Questions
How do the avocado pits help prevent browning?
Both the instructions and the notes suggest placing the reserved avocado pits on top of the finished guacamole when storing. The pit limits the surface area exposed to air, slowing the oxidation that turns avocado brown, though the 1 tbsp of fresh lime juice in the recipe also helps.
Can I use dried cilantro if I don’t have fresh?
Yes — the recipe lists both: 1/2 tsp dried cilantro or 1 tsp fresh chopped cilantro. The notes confirm you can substitute dried if needed.
