Kahlua brownies with chocolate Kahlua ganache. Makes you want to dig in right?

That’s certainly what I did! ps is it possible to get a buzz from these? I’m sure it was the massive amount of chocolate but I definitely felt something going on!

I had to make these Kahlua brownies twice. The first time I went a little too heavy on the Kahlua and they were super dry, not good. So I dialed it back a bit and found the perfect amount. In total, there’s 1/4 cup in the recipe. If you’re looking to booze it up even more (which I did) I’d recommend drizzling some Kahlua over top of the warm brownies before you frost them. Poke some holes with a toothpick and pour another tablespoon over the top.

Description
Indulge in rich Kahlua brownies topped with a luscious Kahlua-infused chocolate ganache, perfect for chocolate and coffee lovers alike.
Ingredients
- 1 recipe of your favorite brownies, prepared as you usually do (see notes for addition of Kahlua)
- 1/4 cup Kahlua, divided
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup heavy cream, minus 2 tablespoons for Kahlua
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line an 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Prepare your favorite brownie recipe, adding 1/4 cup of Kahlua to the batter. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake according to your brownie recipe’s instructions.
- Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. If desired, poke holes in the warm brownies with a toothpick and drizzle an additional tablespoon of Kahlua over the top.
- To make the ganache, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and pour over the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy.
- Spread the chocolate ganache evenly over the cooled brownies. Allow the ganache to set before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a boozier treat, drizzle an additional tablespoon of Kahlua over the warm brownies before frosting. Poke holes with a toothpick to help the Kahlua soak in. Ensure the brownies are not overbaked to avoid dryness. Store leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if my Kahlua brownies are too dry?
Make sure to check the brownies a few minutes before the suggested baking time, as over-baking is a common cause of dryness. Additionally, ensure you measure the flour accurately, as too much can lead to dry results.
How can I enhance the Kahlua flavor in my brownies?
You can drizzle an additional tablespoon of Kahlua over the warm brownies before frosting them. Poking holes with a toothpick will help the Kahlua soak in better.
Is it possible to make the Kahlua brownies without alcohol?
Yes, you can substitute Kahlua with a coffee extract or a coffee-flavored syrup, but it will change the flavor profile slightly.
