Spring has sprung and summer temperatures are just around the corner.
Take this yellow fruit smoothie with bananas, cantaloupe, orange juice, turmeric, and Greek yogurt. The fruits provide your body with great nutrients such as vitamin C and potassium; turmeric, which is best known for adding yellow color to curries and mustard, acts as an anti-inflammatory (and is vying to be THE superfood of 2016); and the yogurt provides some protein and calcium. There’s also a small dose of honey to round out the sweetness. (Local honey is also believed to help alleviate seasonal allergies.) Sounds like we’ve got a winner on our hands, folks. - 1 medium banana sliced
- 1 cup diced cantaloupe
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- Blend that together!
- Think about how great you’re going to feel for having a healthy breakfast or snack instead of a bag of potato chips.
- Perform some daily affirmations in the mirror.
