Frequently Asked Questions

What is coriander mint chutney and how is it made?

The chutney is a blended green condiment made from 2 cups chopped mint, 1 cup chopped coriander, 3/4 cup sliced ingredients, plus salt and other seasonings, ground to a smooth paste using very little water. It is the primary flavor element of this sandwich.

Can the chutney be made ahead of time?

Yes — grind all the chutney ingredients to a smooth paste and refrigerate it, using as required. I often make a batch a few days in advance and keep it in the fridge.
