These Nutella Brownies are incredibly soft and made with just three simple ingredients. They pair perfectly with a scoop of ice cream.

  • 2 eggs
  • Chopped almonds for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of Nutella, 10 tbsp of all-purpose flour, and 2 eggs. Mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  3. Line a cupcake baking tray with 6 cupcake cases.
  4. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake cases.
  5. Sprinkle chopped almonds on top of each brownie for garnishing.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool in the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this recipe bake the batter in a cupcake tray rather than a standard brownie pan?

I divide the 3-ingredient batter among 6 cupcake cases in a cupcake tray, which gives individual portions and makes serving neat and easy. Because the batter is quite dense (1 cup Nutella, 10 tbsp flour, 2 eggs), the cupcake format also helps each piece cook evenly in 20 minutes at 375°F (190°C).

Can I add a pinch of salt, and what does it do?

Yes — I specifically suggest adding a pinch of salt to the batter for a richer flavor, since salt enhances the chocolate and hazelnut notes in the Nutella without making the brownies taste salty.

How do I store leftover brownies?

Keep leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. I also recommend serving them warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
