Restaurants Celebrating Pride Month with Special Food and Drinks

Celebrate Pride Month at these restaurants where you can enjoy special food and cocktail items for the month of June.

Industry Kitchen’s Sweet Pride Martini Cheesecake
Celebrating PRIDE is sweet at Industry Kitchen, the American eatery on the East River near the South Street Seaport. The restaurant, known for its 24K Gold Pizza, giant Blue Moscow Mule, and other instagrammable menu items, will be serving a special rainbow dessert in honor of pride month. The “Sweet Pride” is a lemon cheesecake with sprinkles, waffle cones, cotton candy, nerds, sour candy & rainbow swirl lollipop served in a giant martini glass. Counter-balance the sugar high with one of the restaurant’s salads, pizzas or pastas and take in the gorgeous waterfront views.

SUGARCANE raw bar grill’s PRIDE Nigiri
For sushi enthusiasts, SUGARCANE raw bar grill’s Rainbow PRIDE Nigiri is the ideal way to celebrate New York PRIDE Day. On June 24th, the restaurant will be offering a platter of nigiri with each piece representing a color of the rainbow with tuna, salmon, tamago, avocado, octopus and hamachi topped with oshinko. Enjoy on SUGARCANE’s outdoor patio with a frozen cocktail (i.e. a ‘Frogroni’) in hand.

Empress 1908 Gin, Maraschino Liqueur, Creme de Violette, Lemon, Egg White and Simple Syrup

Ophelia’s Pride Aviation
Created by Head Bartender Amir Babayoff for Ophelia in celebration of PRIDE Month, Ophelia has created inspired by the lounge’s Panhellenic roots – Ophelia’s Pride Aviation. The lavender cocktail features a printed lambda as a nod to The New York Gay Activists Alliance who chose the Lambda as their symbol in 1970. Since then, the Lambda has been adopted by the International Gay Rights Congress and stands as a popular international symbol for gay pride and activism. The cocktail will be available for purchase throughout the month of June, and for every cocktail purchased $1 will be donated to The Trevor Project.

Anejo’s PRIDE Sparkler
For a little something #extra this PRIDE month, Añejo, the modern Mexican restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen, will be adding some serious sparkle to their extensive cocktail menu. For the month of June, the restaurant will be offering the option to upgrade your drink for only $3 with a combination of edible glitter and pea flower extract, which turns pink and purple when activated by citrus. For each upgraded cocktail sold, Añejo will be donating the upcharge to the Trevor Project, a non-profit organization focused on suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ youth.
