Can we just agree that making dessert shouldn’t be too complicated? And that it should also be delicious? Great. Then we can all get onboard with this recipe.

This is possibly the simplest way to create a table full of oohing and aahing dinner guests, and you’re now officially in on the secret.

Here, we’re basically talking five ingredients, only a little bit of prep – and about an hour of baking time. Top with some ice cream, and DONE. Dessert is served, devoured and enjoyed.


How to Make Mini Pastry Pear Pies


Prepare the Pears:

  • Start by peeling the pears and cutting them in half lengthwise.
  • Use a spoon or a melon baller to remove the seeds and core from each pear half.

Season the Pears:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mix evenly over the cut sides of the pears.

Prepare the Puff Pastry:

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth out the seams and slightly increase its size.

Wrap the Pears:

  • Place each pear half, cut side down, on the puff pastry.
  • Trim the excess pastry around the pear, leaving a small border.
  • If you want to get fancy, use the extra puff pastry to form leaves and press them onto the pears.

  • Place the wrapped pears on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the pastry is golden brown and the pears are tender.
  • Allow the pears to cool slightly before serving.

Serve:
