Lime and Lemongrass Chicken

Let this lime and lemongrass chicken dance on your tongue with its earthy and citrus flavors that will energize you as you eat.

I am bringing you this amazing lime and lemongrass chicken recipe, which is great to have as a snack or as a main meal with a salad.

For the marinade (which is so delicious by the way), I have used lime essential oil and lemongrass essential oil, however I have included alternatives if you don’t have these two essential oils on hand.

Lime essential oil can provide cleansing benefits due to its high limonene content and also can provide uplifting and energizing benefits, like all citrus essential oils. Lemongrass essential oil on the other hand promotes healthy digestive. They are two amazing oils to have in your collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I substitute fresh lime and lemongrass for the essential oils in the marinade?

Yes, you can use the juice of fresh limes and finely chopped fresh lemongrass as substitutes. Use about 2 tablespoons of lime juice and 1-2 stalks of lemongrass, making sure to adjust the quantity to taste.

How long should I marinate the chicken to get the best flavor from the lime and lemongrass?

For optimal flavor, marinate the chicken for at least 1 hour, but ideally 4-6 hours. If time allows, marinating overnight will enhance the flavors even more.

What should I serve with Lime and Lemongrass Chicken to complement the flavors?

A fresh salad with a citrus vinaigrette or steamed vegetables would pair well, as they will complement the lime and lemongrass notes in the chicken.
