If you’re looking for the perfect latte or iced coffee sans dairy in LA, this homemade nut milks guide is for you.
On my day to day at home in Los Angeles I’m always on the hunt for healthy body loving foods, even when it comes down to what I put in my coffee. I’ve been on the homemade nut milk train for about a year now and I’m officially hooked. Swapping high quality nut milk for packaged brands with added preservatives and sugar make my morning Latte or cold brew less of a guilty pleasure. Sadly many of the grammable coffee shops in LA use almond milk with added sugar and carrageenan (a thickening agent and emulsifier that has potential to cause GI disturbances). Luckily there are lovely coffee purveyors who are whipping up the good stuff by hand with high quality ingredients! I wanted to share my list of favorite coffee shops that offer up high quality nut milk with you! This is mostly an east side guide because that’s where I live and I only wanted to post about places that I can personally vouch for. If any of your favorite coffee shops make a great nut milk I’d love to hear about them in the comments section.
