Frequently Asked Questions

Should I use canned or jarred hearts of palm for this dip?

Either works, but drain and pat them dry before processing to prevent the dip from turning watery. Jarred hearts of palm sometimes have a cleaner flavor than canned.

What consistency should I aim for when blending hearts of palm dip?

Process until smooth and creamy but stop before it becomes completely uniform. A slightly textured finish gives it more character than a completely pureed dip.

What should I serve alongside this dip?

Pita chips, sliced cucumber, and radishes are natural pairings given the mild, slightly tangy flavor. Sturdy crackers also work well and hold up to scooping without breaking.
