Join us as we explore Fredrik Berselius’ Nordic-inspired dishes from ASKA during his month-long residency at the fabled Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen.
The legendary Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen has hosted many delightful dinner parties over the centuries—it is the third oldest operating amusement park in the world, after all. From traditional Danish smørrebrød and hot dogs to pub grub, sushi, and fine dining, the park offers something for almost every taste. It even features a full food hall that caters to both park-goers and outside guests, ensuring no shortage of culinary exploration during a visit to this crown jewel of downtown Copenhagen.
Among the myriad dining experiences, one stands out above the rest: a series of exclusive month-long pop-ups by some of the world’s best restaurants and chefs. Held at the Japanese Pagoda, this unique dining space is adapted to fit the visual identity of each visiting restaurant.
When Honest Cooking dropped by, the chef at the helm of the pop-up was Fredrik Berselius, the man behind ASKA, the two-Michelin-starred, Brooklyn-based Nordic-inspired gourmet temple. Berselius brought his approach to Nordic cooking, along with some of his staff, back across the pond for a month-long residency at the gardens. We were fortunate to attend one of the first dinners during his stint in Copenhagen. Check out the video below for impressions and favorite dishes, and be sure to make your reservations for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
