All it takes is slightly over one package of Honey Made Graham Crackers, crushed until really fine – melted butter, a bit of sugar and a touch of that all important ground cinnamon that’s bound to make an appearance every holiday season.

It takes literally less than 10 minutes to throw together.

RECIPE NOTES

  1. Graham Cracker Amount: If starting with whole graham crackers, you’ll need approximately 10-12 crackers to make 1 and ½ cups of crumbs.
  2. Variations: For a different flavor, you can try using chocolate or cinnamon graham crackers.
  3. Alternative Baking: If you’re making a no-bake pie that requires a chilled crust, you can refrigerate the crust for an hour or until firm, instead of baking.
  4. Texture: Ensure the crumbs are finely ground to help the crust hold together better.
  5. Butter: The butter acts as a binder. If your crust feels too crumbly and isn’t holding together, you might need a touch more melted butter.
  6. Storing: If you’re not using the crust immediately, you can wrap it in plastic wrap and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days.

The six tablespoons of melted butter that you will add after your crackers are ground, is the perfect amount for making the graham crackers just moist enough to adhere together well. The result is a rich, butter-y and melt-in-your mouth crust that is crunchy and crumble-y all at the same time.

This crust was the perfect compliment for the Double-Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake at our holiday table this year.

Step by Step Guide to Making 10 Minute Graham Cracker Pie Crust

  1. Preparation: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  2. Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup of white sugar, melted butter, and ground cinnamon. Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture appears crumbly.

  3. Press the Mixture: Transfer the crumb mixture to an 8 or 9-inch pie plate. Using the back of a spoon or the base of a measuring cup, press the mixture evenly along the bottom and up the sides of the pie plate. Ensure the crust is compacted well to hold its shape.

  4. Bake: Place the pie plate in the preheated oven and bake for 6-7 minutes. The crust should be lightly golden when done.

  5. Cool: After baking, remove the crust from the oven and allow it to cool completely before filling.
