Description

These Prosciutto-Wrapped Goat Cheese-Stuffed Jalapeño Poppers are a gourmet appetizer that’s easy to prepare and can be customized with your favorite cheese.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 jalapeño peppers
  • 8 ounces goat cheese, softened
  • 12 slices prosciutto
  • Toothpicks, for securing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse and dry the jalapeño peppers. Slice off the stem ends and carefully scoop out the seeds and membranes, leaving the peppers intact.
  3. Stuff each jalapeño pepper with softened goat cheese, ensuring it is filled but not overflowing.
  4. Wrap a slice of prosciutto around each stuffed jalapeño, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
  5. Place the wrapped peppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the prosciutto is crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a milder version, remove all seeds and membranes from the jalapeños. You can substitute goat cheese with cream cheese or any soft cheese of your choice. These poppers are best served warm, but can be reheated in the oven if needed. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
