Houdini's Kitchen Laboratory Debutes Beer Garden in Brooklyn

If you’ve been in the Ridgewood / Bushwick loop for a while, you were likely incredibly pumped to hear about Houdini Kitchen Laboratory opening in a converted loft space on the frontier of gentrification, much like now-renown Roberta’s long before it. It was a sign of the times, setting in concrete that this stretch of the L that some still scoffed at was indeed ready to grow.

And grow it has, with immense rehabbing and development. New tenants flock to the neighborhood in droves, and new businesses are popping up seedlings after the last frost.

Houdini has been growing, too, and on Thursday, May 30th, 2015, they debuted their brand new garden space – to much celebration and fanfare. How much, you may wonder? Well, fortunately for you, I was there to capture it.
