Description

These warm ham and cheese sliders are perfect for brunch or a picnic, featuring layers of shredded ham and Swiss cheese, topped with a flavorful butter glaze.


Ingredients

  • 3 packages Pepperidge Farms Party Rolls (or King's Hawaiian Rolls, or Schar's Ciabatta Rolls for gluten-free)
  • 1 pound ham, shredded
  • 1/2 pound good Swiss cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Remove the rolls from their packaging, keeping them intact, and slice them in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves back into the tray.
  3. Layer the shredded ham evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
  4. Sprinkle the grated Swiss cheese over the ham layer.
  5. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese to form sandwiches.
  6. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is well combined.
  7. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls, ensuring they are well coated.
  8. Cover the tray with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes
