New Year’s Eve festivities are just around the corner and a Napa Valley icon, Sterling Vineyards, debuted their first two sparkling wines under acclaimed winemaker Harry Hansen. Blanc de Blancs 2016 and a Rosé 2016. A Blanc de Blancs 2016 and a Rosé 2016, these wines are totally enrobed in shiny labels of silver and rose gold.
Blanc de Blancs 2016 $28
The Blanc de Blancs 2016 is made from 100% Napa Valley Chardonnay. With persistent bubbles, this festive wines comes with fresh aromas of citrus and enters the palate with floral and fruit notes, finishing with a rich, creamy mouthfeel. It would be the perfect wine to cheers with after the ball drops and the clock strikes midnight.
Sparkling Rosé 2016 $28
Kick off your party with this elegant sparkling rosé. A blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir, it is a subtle salmon pink in the glass. Fresh berry aromas will erupt from the class with a similarly fruity and acidic flavor on the tongue.
