Fig and Bourbon Cocktail

Made with fig jam, this fig and bourbon cocktail is the perfect sweet sipper.

There are few things in life that I love more that a simple recipe. If that recipe also happens to be a cocktail, big win! This Bourbon Fig Jam Cocktail definitely fits the bill. Cocktails are one of my favorite things to make. I love experimenting with different flavor combinations and serving them up when I’m entertaining.

A spicy Chipotle Pineapple Martini is a fun summery spin on the classic. While my Bourbon Balsamic Cherry Shrub is still an all-time favorite old school cocktail. This Bourbon Fig Jam Cocktail is coming in as a close second though.

Using jam adds a lovely sweetness to this cocktail. Think simple syrup with way more character. Being the height of summer, figs are in abundance so naturally a fig jam was the perfect accompaniment to this simple cocktail. Next time I’m going to use my Balsamic Strawberry Jam!

This simple cocktail recipe is just about as easy as it gets. No need to buy three different bottles of alcohol or mixers. You’re looking at jam (even flavor that sounds good to you!), lemon juice and bourbon. Feel free to add a teaspoon or two of sugar if your jam doesn’t quite sweeten things up to your liking.
