Mealtimes at Cedar Lakes Estate are magical akin to the property’s surroundings. “We take pride in doing things the traditional way – deliberately, thoughtfully, passionately, and from scratch, using only the finest ingredients that highlight the abundant farmland surrounding us,” said Lisa Karvellas, the Co-Owner and CEO of Cedar Lakes Estate. During a plated dinner you can expect a full-course meal that begins with options like Burrata salad served with grilled ciabatta and summer heirloom tomato. Following with a second course option such  as chicken liver and foie gras mousse jar. Then savor a crispy local chicken breast with crispy confit garlic, thyme-white wine jus, smoked mushrooms, and celery root-potato puree for your main course. End your evening with a handmade cannelloni.

From May to October, you can indulge in a culinary experience at the “Supper Series” at the estate’s Pavillion where breakfast is also served. This culinary journey showcases the Hudson Valley’s bounty, from heirloom produce harvested from the chef’s garden to locally sourced ingredients from neighboring farms.

For any The Parent Trap fans, booking a stay at Cedar Lakes Estate may be reminiscent of Camp Walden. “Since our land was originally developed as a summer camp in 1929, that summer camp spirit will always live on, and that legacy is something we’re very proud of. I think we have the same charm, uninhibited fun vibe, and nostalgia as Camp Walden in The Parent Trap…” says Lisa Karvellas. Thankfully, the Cedar Lakes Estate camp dishes are more than peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Book it for your next wedding, retreat or escape.
