Description

In one delicious bite, you can have an awesome cinnamon roll that has been rolled, baked, and dipped in smooth glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/8 cup sugar (2 Tablespoons)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons yeast
  • 1 Tablespoon softened butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pastry flour

Filling:

  • 1 Tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Glaze:

  • 1 Tablespoon softened butter
  • 2 Tablespoon milk
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Pour warm milk and sugar in bread machine pan and stir together. Add the yeast and allow to the yeast to proof for 5 minutes. Add the remaining dough ingredients to the bread machine pan. Turn the machine on to the dough cycle. Allow the cycle to complete.
  2. Once the dough cycle is finished, remove the dough on to a floured surface. Roll out the dough into a 7×11 inch rectangle. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon together for the filling. Spread 1 Tablespoon of melted butter over the dough. Evenly sprinkle and spread brown sugar mixture of the melted butter. Tightly roll up the rectangle, starting from one of the long ends. Keep the dough rolled as tight as you can. Slice 1/2 inch thick pieces. Roll each piece into a ball. Allow the dough balls to rest for 15 minutes. Make the glaze: combine and whisk the softened butter, milk and powdered sugar in medium bowl, set aside.
  3. Preheat the donut hole maker, and place the dough balls in the machine. Bake for for 3 – 5 minutes. Remove from machine and let them cool on wire rack. Continue until all cinnamon roll donut holes are finished. Once cooled, dip in glaze and allow excess to drip back. Place on wired rack to let glaze dry.
