Brown Bread Vodka Cocktail

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup steeped heavy cream (recipe below)
  • 1/4 cup TILL Vodka
  • 1/4 cup molasses-cinnamon syrup (recipe below)

Molasses-Cinnamon Syrup

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Steeped Cream

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup brown bread (cut into chunks)

Instructions

Make the Syrup

  1. Combine the water, molasses and brown sugar in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until it simmers. Turn off the burner and stir in the cinnamon. Allow to cool.

Steep the Cream

  1. Bring the cream to a boil over medium heat, watch it carefully, it will happen fast.
  2. Stir in the brown bread and cover. Allow to steep for 30 minutes to an hour.
  3. Strain. Set aside to cool.

Make the Cocktail

  1. If serving hot, warm the cream in the microwave. If not, skip to step two.
  2. Stir together the cream, syrup and vodka. Serve over ice or warm.
  3. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, rim the glass in brown sugar and cinnamon or brown bread crumbles.
