Description

A gourmet pizza experience. Creamy brie, salty bacon, and a touch of sweet marmalade, all elevated with truffle oil.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cups (237 ml) warm water
  • 1 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2.5 - 3 cups (592 - 710 ml) flour
  • 4 oz (113 g) wedge brie cheese
  • 0.25 cups (59 ml) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 slices thick cut pepper bacon
  • 2-3 tbsp orange marmalade
  • 1 tbsp white truffle oil
  • 6 leaves basil

Instructions

  1. Gently whisk together the water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until proofed and foamy, about 10 minutes.
  2. Add the salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and olive oil; mix until combined.
  3. Using the dough hook on your standing mixer, slowly add the flour, ½ cup at a time, until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl and is no longer sticky.
  4. Using the dough hook, knead the dough for 4 minutes, let rest for 3 minutes, then knead for another 4 minutes.
  5. Coat a bowl with olive oil, add the dough, and turn to coat. Cover the bowl and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Place pizza stone in the oven and let sit for 20 minutes.
  7. When the dough has doubled, roll it out until ¼-½ inch thick, leaving the edges slightly thicker.
  8. Remove pizza stone from oven and carefully transfer the crust to the stone. Top with mozzarella cheese, brie cheese, and bacon. Drizzle with orange marmalade.
  9. Bake at 450°F (232°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
  10. Let cool for 5 minutes, then top with basil and drizzle with white truffle oil.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use high-quality white truffle oil.
  • If you don’t have a pizza stone, bake the pizza on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Baking time may need to be adjusted.
  • Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; reheat gently in a low oven or skillet.
