Description

A dreamy, light dessert cream, perfect for topping cakes or enjoying on its own. This recipe is surprisingly simple to make at home.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 tbsp organic vanilla “Bourbon”
  • 250 ml (8 oz) dairy free fresh cream
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the vanilla with the cream and let it sit in the fridge for 2-3 hours. Store in the refrigerator any electric whips and the container you will whip in.
  2. Whip the cream, adding sugar only when it has already taken form and started to thicken.
  3. Keep in refrigerator.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use vanilla bean paste instead of extract.
  • If your cream doesn’t thicken easily, ensure it’s very cold and your mixing bowl is chilled as well.
  • Store leftover Chantilly cream in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; its texture may change slightly.
