Description

These sticky chicken wings are an ideal appetizer with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors, thanks to honey and Sriracha.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup Sriracha
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 3/4 lbs. chicken wings, cut into sections
  • Black and/or white sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup and spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the honey, Sriracha, vegetable oil, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them in the sauce until they are thoroughly coated.
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and the skin is crispy and sticky.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired before serving.

Notes

For a milder version, reduce the amount of Sriracha. These wings are best served fresh but can be reheated in a hot oven to restore crispiness. Pair with a cooling dip like ranch or blue cheese for contrast.
