Description

This grilled fig pie combines sweet figs and honey with strong blue cheese and a buttery crust, creating a delightful balance of flavors.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 ready-made pie crust
  • 8 fresh figs, halved
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. Roll out the pie crust and place it on a baking sheet.
  3. Arrange the halved figs on the crust.
  4. Drizzle honey over the figs.
  5. Sprinkle crumbled blue cheese evenly over the figs.
  6. Brush the edges of the crust with olive oil.
  7. Place the baking sheet on the grill and cook for about 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the grill and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use fresh figs for the best flavor. If you don’t have a grill, you can bake the pie in an oven preheated to 375°F for about 20-25 minutes. Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat before serving. This dish pairs well with a light salad or a glass of white wine.
