- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
- 1.5 tsp minced garlic
- 1 lbs (454 g) ground beef
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 fresh ginger (minced)
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1/4 cup peanuts (chopped)
- 1/4 cup cilantro (chopped)
- Large iceberg lettuce leaves
- chopped green onions (chopped peanuts, matchstick carrot sticks)
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet.
- Sauté onion for 3 minutes, adding garlic in the last minute.
- Add ground beef and cook until done. Drain fat.
- Return skillet to heat and stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and ginger. Cook until heated through, about 3 minutes.
- Remove skillet from heat and stir in remaining ingredients except for lettuce leaves and garnishes.
- Serve on lettuce leaves with garnishes on the side.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, marinate the ground beef in the soy sauce and ginger for 30 minutes before cooking.
- To reduce the spiciness, use less sriracha or substitute with a milder chili garlic sauce.
- These wraps are best served immediately, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
