Scale
- 1 2-lb. package chicken wings
- 1 15-oz. Rojo’s Homestyle Fresh Cut Salsa - Hot (or mild/medium to taste)
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 cup nopalitos, drained and rinsed (optional)
Instructions
- In a large zip-top bag, combine the chicken wings, Rojo’s Homestyle Fresh Cut Salsa, and ground cumin. Close and seal the bag, then refrigerate for 2 to 24 hours to marinate.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Remove the chicken wings from the marinade and arrange them in a single layer on the prepared baking pan. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and the skin is crispy and golden brown. Turn the wings halfway through cooking for even browning.
- Optional: During the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle the nopalitos over the wings for added flavor.
- Remove from the oven and let the wings rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauces.
Notes
Marinate the wings overnight for maximum flavor. Use mild, medium, or hot salsa to adjust the spice level. Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
