Frequently Asked Questions
Can I swap out the apricots and prunes for a different dried fruit?
Yes — the excerpt explicitly says the apricots and prunes can be replaced with any dried fruit of your choice. Keep the quantity at 1/4 cup to maintain the balance with the 1/2 cup each of sesame seeds and oats.
Why must the granola cool completely before slicing?
Step 7 instructs cooling completely before slicing because the honey and butter binding needs to set fully as the bars cool. Cutting while warm causes them to crumble rather than hold their shape as clean bars.
