- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cups (237 ml) Grated Cheddar/ Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 cups (118 ml) Crumbled Feta Cheese
- 1 tsp Dry Oregano
- 1 tsp Pesto (Optional)
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 cups (118 ml) Plain Yogurt
- 1/2 cups (118 ml) Sour Cream
- 3/4 cups (178 ml) Milk
- ⅓ cups (80 ml) Vegetable Oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix until a smooth, thick batter forms.
- Preheat your waffle maker.
- Pour ½ cup of batter onto the preheated waffle maker (adjust amount as needed based on your waffle maker’s instructions).
- Close the waffle maker and bake for 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the waffle and place it on an oven rack to prevent sogginess.
Notes
- For a tangier flavor, use a sharper cheddar cheese.
- To make ahead, prepare the batter the night before and refrigerate. Allow to come to room temperature before cooking.
- Leftover waffles can be reheated in a toaster oven for optimal crispiness.
