Description

A Folly Cove Rum-inspired Brie topped with maple syrup, pecans, and brown sugar, creating a sweet and savory appetizer with a kick.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounce wedge of Brie cheese
  • 3 tablespoons dark rum
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup toasted chopped pecans
  • 1 box ginger snap cookies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place the Brie cheese on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the dark rum, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Stir occasionally and simmer until the sugar is dissolved, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Add the toasted chopped pecans to the saucepan and stir to coat them evenly with the syrup mixture.
  5. Pour the pecan and syrup mixture over the Brie, spreading it evenly across the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the Brie is soft and starting to melt.
  7. Remove from oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with ginger snap cookies on the side.
