A pound cake filled with flavor and so light that you can eat it every day


  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 cup (128 g) sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup (128 g) all purpose flour
  • 1 cup (240 ml) plain yogurt
  • 2 tbs (43 g) rosemary leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp (12 g) baking powder
  • zest of one lemon
  • butter to grease the pan


  1. Mix all the dry ingredients (flour, baking power, sugar, rosemary leaves and lemon zest) in a bowl.
  2. Mix all the wet ingredients ( egg, yogurt, oil and vanilla extract) in another bowl.
  3. Pour the mixed wet ingredients to the dry ingredients bowl and whip it to a smooth batter.
  4. Grease the pan with some butter and pour the batter into the pan.
  5. Bake it at 375 F for about 45 minutes or unless baked through.
  6. Enjoy it with some tea, coffee or just plain.
