Description

Sweet and salty waffles made with peanut butter batter and topped with strawberry preserves. A fun twist on a classic!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/3 cups (80 ml) peanut butter
  • 4 tsp oil
  • 6 tbsp almond milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cups (237 ml) Simple Mills waffle mix
  • Bonne Maman Strawberry Preserves
  • Extra Peanut Butter

Instructions

  1. Warm peanut butter in the microwave or in a saucepan for a few seconds to soften.
  2. Whisk softened peanut butter, oil, almond milk, and eggs together.
  3. Stir in the waffle mix until everything is incorporated.
  4. Heat your waffle iron.
  5. Spray with cooking spray and pour your batter onto the iron.
  6. Cook until both sides are golden brown.
  7. Serve the waffles warm with Bonne Maman Strawberry Preserves and drizzle (or dollop!) the peanut butter on top.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use creamy peanut butter instead of crunchy.
  • If the batter is too thick, add a tablespoon or two of extra almond milk until it reaches a pourable consistency.
  • Store leftover waffles in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days; reheat in a toaster or waffle iron.
